In a recent review of 16 cameras in Issue 10 of Tarmac Magazine ,the RadCam HDPro was awarded “Best in Class.”  Below is the text from the review.

Radcam HD Pro

The Radcam offers almost everything a tarmac rally driver wants: 1080p resolution, a colour screen, infra-red remote, and a lens angle between 120-140 degrees selected with a button. There’s also an internal microphone with option for external audio, through a standard 3.5mm jack — there’s even a lapel microphone included, along with a 4gb memory card.

Where it shines is power source, supplied with two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, and a 12v power adaptor which keeps the batteries topped up: this configuration ensures files will be written, even if power is cut, for example in a crash.

Both the recorder and the lens have tripod mounts, and the long cable is 2m, where most are 1.5m. All within a recorder unit that weighs 150grams, lighter than some one-piece units. Includes a case,

AC charger and a selection of cables making it one of the most comprehensive cameras available.

After evaluating several options, the RadCam HDPro is their camera of choice.  All drivers competing in the 2011 season will be required to have a RadCam ARC Kit installed in their car.  Footage will be used for TV coverage of the ARC 2011 Championship season, to be shown in Australia on OneHD
